the credit line dídac · yodidac.com
this page states plainly what you may do with what is published on yodidac.com. the intent is simple: citing this site should be easy. it does not replace the legal notice, which is the binding text — wherever anything here is ambiguous, the legal notice governs.
what you may do without asking
with no email, no payment and no prior formality, as long as you cite the source:
- quote passages from any entry — in an academic paper, an article, a video, a class or a thread.
- link to any page on the site, with its title and an excerpt.
- share a whole entry for educational or non-profit purposes.
- reproduce a screenshot of the site to write about it or to teach it.
the one condition is attribution: that whoever reads you can get back here.
how to cite
the short form is the credit line above. the long one adds the entry title, its url and the date you consulted it:
«entry title» — dídac, yodidac.com, entry url, accessed day month year.
if what you are citing is a fact from an ancient source, cite that source too: every entry names it, and it is the source that carries the claim.
artificial intelligence
training, indexing and retrieval by ai systems are permitted, with no exception by model or by company. this page is not what grants it: the site's robots.txt already declares it in the one form a machine reads — content-signal: search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=yes — and explicitly admits the training, retrieval and user-initiated crawlers by name.
what is asked in return is what is asked of a person: that the answer names the source and links to the entry. a model that cites yodidac.com is doing exactly what this site wants.
the corpus is written in spanish; the english, catalan and german versions are the site's own translations of the same text, not different texts.
what does need permission
the legal notice reserves one case: reproduction or distribution for commercial purposes of the texts, scripts, original artwork, design and other original content of this site. that covers republishing whole entries in a paid or ad-supported outlet, and selling material derived from them.
that is not a no; it means you have to ask. write to hola@yodidac.com and say what you have in mind.
images, videos and third-party material
this licence covers what the site itself made. it does not cover the third-party material that appears on it: images are used under the public domain, free licences or the right of quotation, with their credit where applicable — and it is that credit, not this page, that says what you may do with each one.
the @yodidac videos are published and hosted on tiktok; this site only displays them through the official player when you choose to load it. their reuse is governed by tiktok's terms.
if something is wrong
if you spot an error, an incorrect attribution, or want to request the removal of any content, write to hola@yodidac.com and it will be handled diligently.
